General rental
terms.
This information summarises the terms provided by YABI Location. The signed contract and its appendices remain the reference documents.
APurpose and definitions
The contract includes the signed rental agreement, the vehicle condition report, these terms and any appendices. They apply to L1H1, L2H2 and L3H2 rentals. Any exception must be accepted in writing.
BVehicle condition
A full inspection with photos or videos is carried out before handover and on return. Any reservation must be raised before departure.
CConditions of use
The vehicle must be used in accordance with Belgian road law and within the maximum load limit. Subletting, unauthorised lending and illegal or dangerous transport are prohibited.
DTravel
Travel is authorised within the Benelux. Any trip to another European country requires prior written declaration. Tolls, taxes and fines remain the renter’s responsibility.
EPrice, invoicing and payment
Payment is required according to the contract terms. Missing fuel, cleaning, vehicle downtime, late return, fines, admin fees and excess mileage may be charged. Excess mileage is listed at 0.25 EUR excluding VAT per km.
FDeposit
A deposit from 1,250 EUR to 3,500 EUR may be required. It covers damage, excess, fines and other costs. Subject to deductions, it is returned within a maximum of 10 working days.
GInsurance
Civil liability insurance is included in accordance with Belgian law. The excess and any exclusions are specified in the contract. Driving under the influence, overloading, serious negligence and fuel errors may exclude cover.
HAuthorised driver
The driver must be at least 23, hold a licence valid in Belgium and provide the requested identity documents. Subletting and non-return are excluded.
I–JAccident, theft and liability
The rental company must be informed immediately. An accident report must be completed and a police complaint filed in case of theft. The renter is responsible for damage, offences, tolls and errors during the rental.
KReturn and delay
The vehicle must be returned on time, clean and with the agreed fuel level. After 2 hours of delay, a stated penalty of 50 EUR per started hour may apply. Excessive cleaning may be charged from 80 EUR to 250 EUR.
LGPS and personal data
Vehicles may be equipped with GPS. Data is used for safety and legal protection purposes, in compliance with GDPR.
M–NTermination and jurisdiction
The rental company may terminate the contract for non-payment, fraud, false declaration or prohibited use. Belgian law applies. The courts of Brussels have jurisdiction, subject to consumer protection rules.
